ON THE HILL

EXPLORE  -  RELAX  -  REPEAT

This beautifully renovated getaway located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains is a rare find. Even the journey here is a memorable experience—driving the scenic mountain roads past sparkling reservoirs, untamed rivers, and babbling brooks.

Upon entering this stunning retreat, you'll immediately notice the designer's meticulous attention to detail—blending nostalgic charm with a modern touch—and delight in the spectacular kitchen open to the vaulted great room, which offers unparalleled views of the mountains, valley, and farm below.

Relax in the cozy TV nook, complete with a 65" flatscreen TV and a plush sectional sofa. Enjoy a restful night's sleep in the primary bedroom's elegant king bed or in the antique twin poster beds of the second bedroom—all with pristine, soft linens. Unwind in the master bath's large soaking tub and rejuvenate with chromotherapy in the second bathroom's luxurious steam shower. For a unique experience, retreat to the cozy twin beds of the treehouse-style loft. With pull-down stairs, an elevated view of the vaulted great room, and the panoramic vista beyond, the loft is its own adventure.

Experience nature's embrace on the vast covered deck enveloped in the soothing aroma of evergreens. Sink into the comfort of swivel chairs by the fire pit or unwind in a rocker, all while absorbing the tranquil vista of the lush forest and the sound of the melodiously babbling brook. Use the convenient propane grill to indulge in outdoor cooking and savor an alfresco meal at the expansive six-foot picnic table. Wander down the stone path to discover the elevated screen house, offering ample seating and a second outdoor dining table to immerse yourself in breathtaking views.

With so many inviting spaces for relaxation, it might be tempting to stay put, but the area beckons exploration. Walk the property to discover the beauty of the brook's mossy rocks and little waterfalls, or stroll along the scenic country road bordered by a meandering river. For the adventurous, kayaking the pristine waters of Neversink Reservoir, cycling the challenging back roads of Sugarloaf Mountain, or hiking the wilderness through nearby trails await. Access the Catskills' highest peaks—Slide Mountain, Peekamoose, and Tabletop Mountains—from the Denning Trailhead or marvel at an unparalleled view of the Catskills and beyond from atop the Red Hill Fire Tower, both trailheads within two miles of the Blue House. No matter how much or little you venture, you will bring home lasting images of this beautiful place.
